Fundamentalists

As you can probably already tell, I have some firm beliefs when it comes to the law of attraction, consciousness, the universe, and reality itself. But it's not so firm that I do not try to challenge its assumptions from time to time. For instance, I'm fairly skeptical of people that claim to be psychic. But that is for another blog.

Having a too rigid stance of any point of view turns off your critical thinking skills, which can lead a person to very dangerous consequences.

Here is a very funny video about people that have turned off those critical thinking skills. Please watch it until the very end, because it makes a very surprising and funny statement.

(Disclaimer: I do not mean to offend anyone. But if you are offended, perhaps this video is a reflection of yourself. If it is, please comment below so we could all get a good laugh.)

Holographic Universe

The following videos adequately illustrate my major point of view on reality and consciousness. I did not create the videos and honestly do not know who did.

Why You Came Into This Reality

Some teachers of the law of attraction say that you are this all powerful being that came to this reality to have a "human experience." Some people ask, if I had it all and could do it all, why would I want to experience giving it all up? In this article I will explain why you chose to live out this experience.

Just recently one of my favorite movies was playing on TV. It was The Game staring Michael Douglas. It brought up a very important point that I've never noticed before. If you've never seen the movie it is now the time to STOP READING! There will be spoilers. You have been warned.

The movie touches on a commonly asked question: "What kind of gift do you give someone who has everything?" The answer that the movie provides is: You take it all away. Then just before he's at the breaking point, you give it all back. This will give him a greater appreciation for what he has.

This is basically the gift that you've given yourself. Your "True Self" wanted to make a game of forgetting how powerful you actually are, then live through the joy gaining it all back again.

So the first part of the process is the preparation of the game. This is where you hide your godlike power from yourself, which is not an easy task. You first create this entire universe based on limitation. You create all the rules of physics in order to mask your true power. Then you forget that you did it all.

The next part is finding your way back to who you really are. This can either be done gradually, while you are living. Like what practitioners of the Law of Attraction try to do. Or you'll gain it all back in one shot. This happens when you "die." You don't really die, of course. "Death" is just a fail safe, so you don't permanently stay in this state of forgetfulness and powerlessness.

As you can imagine, getting your power back is extremely exciting & joyful. And that's the whole point of this game that you put yourself in.

Maybe that's where the famous band, N.E.R.D. got their name from. It stands for No one Ever Really Dies. Maybe they they've found a lot of their power back and that's why they've been so successful.

You now know why you chose to come to this reality and live out this human experience. If you would like to know specific ways of getting that power back check out Busting Loose From the Money Game: Mind-Blowing Strategies for Changing the Rules of a Game You Can't Win.

Flatland

I've always wondered if what we're seeing is really all there is. This video from "What the bleep," does a great job illustrating that.

7 Tips for Easier Writing

One of the best and most enjoyable ways for me to express creativity (besides choking someone unconscious in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class) is to write. But some find it laborious and would rather dig a trench in solid manure, then write a single paragraph. This blog post will give you some tips to making writing easier, maybe even fun!

You don't realize it yet, but in the next 2 minutes you're going to learn how to breeze through writing, even when you have writers block! Here are 9 tips for easier writing.

  1. State Your Purpose Beforehand. The first step in writing is actually knowing what to write. Many writers, for some strange reason, bypass this and just start typing away. It's no wonder they get stuck. They have no direction.
  2. Know Your Topic. This may seem like a no brainer, but you may be surprised how many writers don't do any research before starting on a topic. Here's a tip. Just read 3 of the top selling books on your topic and you'll be more knowledgeable about it than 80% of the population.
  3. Know your audience. This boils down to the age old saying "What's in it for me?" Of course you may think that you're written piece is the greatest, most interesting and entertaining thing in the world but if it doesn't give any benefits to anyone no one will read it.
  4. Use a mind map to outline your article. Use a large piece of news print paper and draw a circle in the middle. Put your main topic in the middle. Then draw 10 to 12 lines from that circle. At the end of each line, write down subtopics, tips, and/or facts that support your main topic. Just write freely until you've filled all lines. Now all you have to do is pick and choose which ones you like. This will give enough topics to write an outline with.
  5. Make use of bullet points. Bullets act as a stop sign for the eyes, they refocus the reader on the article if they're attention starts to waiver. They also big help for people like myself, who have a habit of scanning articles to get to the good stuff faster.
  6. Write in a conversational tone. Forget all those fancy shmancy long words you may have picked up in college. The average reader doesn't really have a stomach for academia types of pieces. They just want something they can understand, and will help them or entertain them.
  7. If all else fails, turn off your monitor and "go to town" for 20 minutes. In other words don't look at what your writing. Just open a word processor, turn off your screen and start typing freely. Let your subconscious take over and see what happens. When you're done, you may be pleasantly surprised by what you've written down.

Now you've learned how to breeze through writing, even when you have writers block. Just know that writing gets easier the more you do it. So even if you're having a hard time, don't give up. Just keep pushing through, it will get easier.

Don't be Hatin'

Have you ever come across someone that constantly got on your nerves? It always seems like they’re doing great and you keep getting the short end of the stick. No matter how much you try to avoid this person they keep constantly showing up in your life. Want to know why? While you're sitting there reading this, your going to learn that hating on someone actually makes them more successful and increases their presence in your awareness.

The best thing to do when you experiencing hate or dislike towards someone (for any reason), is to redirect the focus to yourself. Creating your reality is about putting focus on what you want, and resisting or thinking negatively about someone is NOT focusing on what you want. But it's easier to remedy than you think. Some people think that to use the law of attraction correctly in this situation is to wish the person well and think positive thoughts about the person. You don't necessarily have to. You can just replace the thoughts you have about her/him with thoughts on how you can better your life and bettering your relationship with success.

When I was working for a multibillion dollar company back in the day there was this guy that I couldn't stand. He was one of those smug corporate types that was full of himself. You know the type. The guy practicing his golf swing while making "small talk." The guy that has a vocabulary filled with corporate bullsh.. let me rephrase that ...jargon. You could understand my dismay when this guy got promotion after promotion and just kept getting more "successful," while I stayed stuck. I just couldn't find a way to get him away from my reality.

The moment I took the focus off of him and looked at myself instead, I was able to leave that job and start a business. How the business actually did... Well, it's best to save that for another day.

The Relationship Between Information and Cash

Cash and information are economically equivalent to each other. The relationship between them is quite a strong one. In fact, I'm willing to bet that at least one point in your life, you paid good money for information. Like buying a book, software, or home study course.

People will work very hard to save up to go to school, or take classes, to gain information. Or even work a minimum wage job just to learn something. (Even if they did qualify for a higher-paying one.) Knowledge, information, money, power. It's all the same!

So here's an idea...

Chances are, there is someone living in my neighborhood, that will greatly benefit by learning anything that I know about marketing. And vice versa. But here's the problem. Our paths may never cross. And even if we do meet, we might never know that information, because it might not ever come up.

What would be a solution to this problem? And more importantly... How could we package and sell that solution?
